12.6 Mathematical functions
This section is dedicated to mathematical calculation functions. Currently it
is possible to configure two different operations when is necessary to use
two separate digital meters for a balance.
A typical application is represented by the use with bidirectional flow meters. By appropriately connecting
to digital 1 and 2 of the Bjong and enabling the mathematical difference function, it is possible to totalize
the quantities of net water flow. The net value is saved on the second digital (DI2 or DI4). Another typical
application could be that of having to perform the difference in flow rates between the system input and
output recorded by meters with pulse output.
The functions available concern digital pairs 1-2 and 3-4.
To enable one of the two functions, the digital involved must have a compatible configuration. This means
that they must both be set in the “counters” or “counters with average” operating mode. In this second
case, the time setting for calculating the average must also match.
If the pre-existing configuration does not meet the requirements, EasySetup will propose a window to
guide you in the correct configuration of the digital involved.
12.7 Auto cleaning
The auto cleaning system allows an automatic closure of the contacts of a relay in order to
control, for example, a compressor for cleaning a sensor connected to the Bjong. Activation
times and frequency can be configured.
Cleaning time: time, in seconds, in which relay contact are
closed.
Waiting period after cleaning: waiting time, in seconds,
between relay contacts opening and the next sampling.
Samples after cleaning: it is the period of time, expressed in
number of samples, between two cleanings.
For example, with a number of samples = 10 and a sampling
time = 3, cleaning will be carried on every 30 minutes.
Clean now: this button is used to start a cleaning cycle.
Cleaning relay is no. 1. See wiring diagram for more information.
