4.3.3 Analog Input Module, 16 Inputs
Function The function of the analog input module is to detect voltages and cur
rents and to measure temperatures by means of RTDs.
Analog input has its own control logic and performs data acquisition in a
cycle which is independent of the controller. The digitized data are stored
in a special memory from where they can be retrieved by the controller at
any time.
The analog input module is operated in the extended inputs/outputs (IO/
EO). It occupies one input and output word in the extended inputs/out
puts.
A detailed description of the analog input module is given in Technical
Description" P. N o . 3779.
