28/72 Transport and storage
BoschRexrothAG, axial piston variable pump A4VSO, RE 92050-01-X-B1/2019.08.23
▶ Only guide theaxial piston unit byhand for fine positioning and toavoid swinging.
▶ Never step orgrip under suspended loads.
▶ Place the lifting strap around the axial piston unit in such a way that it neither
passes over the assembled parts (e.g., valves, sensors) nor that the axial piston
unit is hung from attachment parts.
6.2 Storing theaxial piston unit
• The storage areas must be free of corrosive materials and gases.
• To prevent damage tothe seals, do not operate ozone-forming equipment
(e.g.mercury-vapor lamps, high-voltage equipment, electric motors, sources
ofelectrical sparks and/orelectrical discharge) instorage areas.
• Storage areas should bedry.
• Ideal bearing temperature: +5°C to+20°C.
• Minimum storage temperature: -25°C.
• Maximum storage temperature: +60°C.
• Avoid significant exposure tolight (e.g. bright windows ordirect
fluorescentlighting).
• Do not stack axial piston units and store them inashock-proof manner.
• Do not store theaxial piston unit onthe drive shaft orassembled parts,
e.g.sensors orvalves.
• For further storage conditions, see Table 11.
▶ Check theaxial piston unit monthly toensure proper storage.
The axial piston units come incorrosion protection packaging
(corrosionprotectionfilm) provided at the factory.
Table 11 lists themaximum permissible storage times for anunpackaged axial piston
unit asper datasheet90312.
