6. Properly tighten thefittings (observe tightening torques!). Mark all properly
tightened fittings, e.g. with apermanent marker.
7. Check all pipes and hose lines and every combination ofconnecting pieces,
couplings orconnecting points with hoses orpipes toensure they are
insafeworking condition.
For the relationship between direction of rotation and flow direction,
seethedatasheet (Part II).
7.4.9 Electrically connecting theaxial piston unit
DANGER
Risk of explosion and/or fire due to ignition of an explosive atmosphere or of
combustible dust!
Serious injury caused by blast pressure and fire may result.
▶ To prevent the buildup of static electricity, include all ground connections of the
axial piston unit in the potential equalization connection.
▶ Ground hydraulic hoses separately.
▶ Make sure assembled parts, tools and personnel have the same potential as the
axial piston unit before they come into contact with them.
▶ The electrical connections should only be made by a suitably qualified
electrician.
▶ De-energize the current circuits before working on them or opening a terminal
box. In potentially explosive areas, only use tools and measuring equipment
approved for these areas.
▶ In the event of a malfunction, check the wire connections and power supply in
the non-explosive atmosphere for proper function.
▶ If this is not possible, make sure there is no risk of explosion while working and
monitor for such a risk.
▶ The electrical connection can be established via the connection line outside the
potentially explosive area or with an explosion-protected terminal box inside the
explosive area.
• The leakage temperature of the pump should be monitored by a sensor with
integrated shut-off feature installed in the drain line (maximum 30cm from drain
port). The operator is responsible for selecting and installing this temperature
sensor.
• As soon as the specified maximum leakage temperature (see data sheet Part II)
is exceeded in a sensor installed in the drain line or as soon as a malfunction is
detected in the temperature monitor, the control units should immediately shut
off the control device of the axial piston unit and the drive motor. Make sure that
the pump is switched off no later than 5seconds after the monitoring function
responds.
• The control units should include a monitoring circuit for sensor faults and cable
breaks, and a self-monitoring circuit for faults in the control unit. Such faults
