9 Operation
DANGER
Risk of explosion and/or fire due to ignition of an explosive atmosphere or of
combustible dust on a hot case surface!
Insufficient monitoring during operation may result in excessively high case
temperature. Serious injury caused by blast pressure and fire may result.
During operation, monitor the fluid level and temperature in the reservoir.
Comply with the specified case leakage pressure and case leakage temperature.
For Equipment Category II 2G Ex h IIC T4-T1 Gb X: Monitor the leakage
temperature in accordance with the specifications in this manual.
Observe the operating data; see the data sheet (Part II).
Risk of explosion and/or fire due to ignition of an explosive atmosphere or of
combustible dust resulting from damage to a bearing or the rotary group!
Early bearing damage will cause the interior of the axial piston unit to heat up.
Overheating can pose an ignition risk.
Perform both an inspection for unusual noise development and a visual
inspection of external integrity daily.
Check the leakage temperature (or inlet temperature) daily.
(Realizedautomatically for Equipment Category II 2G Ex h IIC T4-T1 Gb X by
integrated temperature monitoring).
Observe the maintenance interval for the axial piston unit.
(see Table 17).
Only use the product within the performance range specified in the technical data;
see the data sheet (Part II). The machine/system manufacturer isresponsible for
proper project planning ofthehydraulic system and its control.
Do not alter the settings on the axial piston unit.
If the axial piston unit can no longer achieve the specified torque (pressure),
shutthe system down.
