10.1 Cleaning and care
DANGER
Risk of explosion and/or fire due to ignition of an explosive atmosphere or of
combustible dust!
Serious injury caused by blast pressure and fire may result.
▶ The axial piston unit must not be cleaned with compressed air, solvents,
aggressive cleaning agents or high-pressure cleaners since these can result in
changes that could result in the loss of the explosion protection.
▶ Only clean the axial piston unit with a damp, lint-free cloth; cleaning with a dry
cloth could cause static electricity to build.
For cleaning and care oftheaxial piston unit, observe thefollowing:
▶ Check whether all seals and plug-in connections are securely seated toensure
nomoisture can penetrate into theaxial piston unit during cleaning.
▶ Use only water and, ifnecessary, amild cleaning agent toclean
theaxialpistonunit. Never use solvents oraggressive cleaning agents.
▶ Only clean the axial piston unit with a damp cloth; cleaning with a dry cloth could
cause static electricity to build.
▶ Remove major external contamination and keep clean sensitive and important
components, such assolenoids, valves, indicators and sensors.
