RE 92050-01-X-B1/2019.08.23, Axial piston variable pump A4VSO, BoschRexrothAG
Fig. 11: Removing transport protection

2 Protective plugs/threaded plugs
3 For version with through drive,
flangecover and fixing screws
Ports intended for connecting lines come with protective plugs and/orthreaded
plugs, which serve astransport protection. Make sure all ports required for
functional operation are connected (see Table 15 "Ports A4VSO" on page43).
Failure todo socould lead tomalfunctions ordamage. If aport isnot being used,
plug itwith athreaded plug since theprotective plugs are not pressure-resistant.
The setting screws are protected against unintentional adjustment by caps.
Adjusting the setting screws will render the warranty void. If you need to change
settings, contact your BoschRexrothService partner; see chapter 10.5 "Repair"
on page 61 for an address.
3. For versions with through drive, install theauxiliary pump according tothe pump
manufacturer's instructions.
7.4.8 Hydraulically connecting theaxial piston unit
NOTICE
Insufficient suction pressure!
Generally, aminimum permissible suction pressure atportS isspecified for axial
piston pumps inall installation positions. If thepressure atportS drops below
thespecified values, damage may occur which may lead tothe axial piston pump
being damaged beyond repair!
▶ Make sure thenecessary suction pressure ismaintained. This isinfluenced by:
–The piping (e.g. suction cross-section, pipe diameter, length ofsuction line)
–The position ofthereservoir
–The viscosity ofthehydraulic fluid
–A filter element orcheck valve inthe suction line (check thelevel
ofcontamination ofthefilter element regularly)
The machine/system manufacturer isresponsible for dimensioning ofthelines.
Connect theaxial piston unit tothe rest ofthehydraulic system inaccordance with
thehydraulic circuit diagram ofthemachine/system manufacturer.
The ports and fastening threads are designed forthe maximum pressure specified
inthe datasheet. The machine/system manufacturer isrequired toensure that
theconnecting elements and lines correspond tothe specified application
conditions (pressure, flow, hydraulic fluid, temperature) with thenecessary
safetyfactors.
