3 Getting Started
Controls and Status
A panel on top of the printer contains the power and cut buttons and three status lights.
Additional status information, such as remaining material in the cartridge, can be found in the Brady
Express Labels app.
Power
The power button can turn the printer on, reboot, or disconnect from a device depending on how long
you hold it.
Tap: Turns the printer on or off.
5 seconds: Resets the Bluetooth allowing a new mobile device to connect.
15 seconds: Reboots the printer.
Cut
Cutting occurs automatically depending on the cut setting in the label file. To manually cut, press the
cut button on the printer.
Bluetooth
The Bluetooth status light has the following meanings:
Pulsing light: The printer is broadcasting a Bluetooth signal for pairing.
Solid light: The printer is paired with a mobile device.
Only one mobile device can be connected at a time.
To disconnect from a device, hold the power button on the printer for five seconds. The Bluetooth light
pulses to indicate that the printer is looking for a device to connect to.
