      If you cannot find the ES device in Boost.LAN Device Manager, ensure the device is powered on and correctly connected to the network. Check the Ethernet and status LED behavior. If Windows Firewall is enabled, ensure Brainboxes Boost.LAN Suite is set as an exception, along with any other custom firewalls. If you have a proxy server, verify Boost.LAN is on the exceptions list. When connecting through a router, confirm that port forwarding is enabled.

      If Device Manager reports "This device cannot start. (Code 10)," update the driver. In the device Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver to start the Hardware Update Wizard. Follow the instructions to update the driver. Install the latest drivers found on our website. You can also try installing the COM port on a different PC.

      If you are experiencing problems transmitting or receiving data through the port, check the status LED behavior.       If the webpage cannot be displayed when you try to access it, check that the status and Ethernet lights on the device indicate that it is connected to the network and ready. Verify that the IP address is correct. If you are on a private network, the default IP address is 192.168.127.254. If you have a proxy server installed, check that the IP address of the device is on the exceptions list.

      If you can’t install the ES device COM ports and Device Manager shows error messages for the Ethernet to serial device and ports (indicated by a yellow exclamation mark), it is recommended to uninstall and reinstall the driver. To clear the security settings, hard reset the device by holding the reset button for 10 seconds, until the device beeps twice.
