Introduction
The Navigation Pointer Cranial/ENT (with Gauge) is a set, consisting of the Navigation Pointer
Cranial/ENT (41780-5) and the Gauge for Navigation Pointer Cranial/ENT (41780-10). The
pointer is a precalibrated instrument and is used:
• To perform pointer-based patient registration
• To verify that registration accuracy is maintained
• To verify the accuracy of acquired fluoroscopic images
Pointer Gauge

Each pointer comes with a gauge that serves to prevent pointer damage and ensure maximum
accuracy. If the pointer is undamaged, the tip aligns with the corresponding counter pin on the
pointer gauge.
Warning
The accuracy of the pointer has to be checked using the pointer gauge before use.
Always store the pointer in the appropriate gauge.
