9.1 Microscope Adapter Sets
General Information
Microscopes from various manufacturers can be set up for use with Brainlab navigation systems.
The navigation system is able to acquire the viewing direction, the focus point, and the field of
view diameter of the microscope and display the information on the navigation screen.
To set up a microscope:
• A Microscope Adapter Set must be attached to the microscope
• The microscope must be connected to the navigation system
Before Using
Read the Software User Guide before performing microscope navigation.
Cabling
Warning
Do not connect additional hardware to the original setting after calibration.
Warning
Do not connect devices other than a valid calibrated video camera to the video port of the
navigation system.
Warning
Make sure that there is enough space for the movement range of the microscope head
when connecting it.
