TROUBLESHOOTING ENGINE
Symptom Inspection item Action
1. The motor does not
start when the igni-
tion switch is turned
to "START"

Are you depressing the clutch?

Depress the clutch pedal fully and turn the igni-
tion switch to the "START" position

Is the battery power enough? Is the battery dis-
charged?

Add battery uid to the specied level and charge
the battery

Is the battery terminal loosened or corroded?

Clean and tighten the terminals. Apply grease to
avoid rust

Is the main fuse blown out?

Replace the fuse

Is the ignition switch broken?

Contact the dealer for repair or replacement

Is the starting motor defective?

Contact the dealer for repair or replacement
2. The starting motor
runs, but the engine
won't start

Is the fuel tank empty?

Fill up the fuel tank and bleed the system

Is the fuel mixed with air?

Bleed the fuel system

Does the engine run only when the compression
reducer lever is pulled?

Charge the battery
3. The engine revolu

tion is irregular

Is air mixed in the fuel system?

Bleed the system

Is water mixed in the fuel?

Drain water and replace fuel

Is the injection nozzle clogged?

Repair or replace it
