Feed Only
Eject about 24.5 mm of tape, resulting in a blank label sticking out of the tape cassette. It is
recommended when using Fabric tapes, which should be cut using scissors.
Press the Feed & Cut key.
“Feed & Cut?” appears on the LCD.
Use the or key to select “Feed Only”, and then press either the OK or Enter key.
The message “Feeding Tape... Please Wait” appears while the tape is fed.
LCD Contrast
You can set the contrast of the LCD to one of five levels (+2, +1, 0, -1, -2) to make the screen
easier to read. The default setting is “0”.
Press the Menu key, select “Adjustment” using the or key, and then press the OK
or Enter key.
Select “LCD Contrast” using the or key, and then set the value using the or
key.
Press the OK or Enter key.
Backlight
You can turn the backlight on or off.
The display is easier to read with the backlight on (default).
Press the Menu key, and then select “Advanced” using the or key. Press the OK
or Enter key.
Select “Backlight” using the or key, and press the OK or Enter key.
Select “On” or “Off” using the or key, and press the OK or Enter key.

To exit or cancel, press Esc.

•Press the Esc key to return to the previous step.
• Pressing the Space key on the contrast setting screen sets the contrast to the default value “0”.

Turning the backlight off can save power.
- If the backlight automatically turns off, press any key.
- The backlight turns off during printing.
- The backlight turns on during data transmission.
