MENDING
1. Set stitch length control between F-I .
2. Place reinforcement material under tear
in material to be repaired.
3. Following the line of tear, sew elastic
stitch
so that both sides of tear are
joined.
SEWING ELASTIC
1. Place the elastic on the material.
2. As you sew, stretch elastic both in front
and in back of presser foot as shown in
illustration.
JOINING STITCH
1. Elastic stitch is used to join material
together.
2. Place material edge to edge under presser
foot.
3. Sew together using elastic stitch. Care
should be taken to keep the two material
edges close together.
SEWING KNITS
Knitted garments are sewn by this elastic
stitch effectively. Use nylon thread, and
stitch will be invisible.
