Eye protection
A DANGER
Contact with a rotating propeller is lik ely t o result in s erious in jury or de ath. Ass ure the
engine and prop area is clear of people and objects before starting engine or operating boat.
Do not allow anyone near a propeller, even when the engine is off. Blades can be s harp and
the propeller can continue to turn even af ter the engine is off. Always shut off the engine
when near people in the water.
Eyes need protection when:
Grinding
Spraying cleaners
and paints
Chiseling
Tip: When steel on steel,
use plastic- or brass-type
hammers. They don’t chip
off as easily as steel
hammers.

Wear
Safety
Glasses
