DPF AND AFTERTREATMENT
(JCB 55kW AND 97kW S5 ENGINES)
The DPF will actively regen whilst the machine is in operation, and the soot warning
light can indicate to the driver to work the engine harder if possible to actively reduce
soot levels.
Menu 4.08 Engine Information
If the machine is continued to be used at lower speed/load a stationary regeneration
may be required as the engine will derate and show further warnings.
Pressing F4 when in the Engine Information menu will request a stationary regeneration
(only when soot level warning icon is shown) (A).
The chassis handbrake will need to be applied, the engine running at 900rpm or lower,
and the coolant temperature above 70°C.
The yellow exhaust temperature high warning will appear and the engine will increase
in engine speed automatically (B). A full regeneration will take at least 45 minutes. If
interrupted a new regeneration request will need to be made.
Pressing F3 will allow the operator to stop the stationary regeneration or inhibit any
active regeneration whilst in operation. (Only when soot level warning icon is shown).

This screen shows further Aftertreatment and exhaust temperature information for
machine diagnostics if required.
