6 DHW heating
6.1 Systems for DHW heating
The Ecostream cast iron boilers Logano GE315, GE515
and GE615 can also be used for DHW heating. Buderus
Logalux DHW cylinders that are matched to the boiler
output are a suitable choice. They are available as
horizontal or vertical versions in different sizes with 150 l
to 6000 l capacity. Depending on the application, they are
equipped with an internal indirect coil or an external heat
exchanger (Æ Fig. 27 and Fig. 28).
The cylinders can be used singly or in combination with
other cylinders. With the primary store system, different
cylinder sizes and different heat exchanger sets can be
combined. This means system solutions are available for
any demand and many applications.
The Buderus Duoclean thermal glaze has many benefits:
• Neutral with regard to potable water
• Neutral with regard to pipework materials
• Hygienic and bacteriologically sound due to the
smooth, glazed and chemically resistant surface
• Suitable for all types of potable water
• Resistant to thermal shock from –30 °C to 220 °C

6.2 DHW temperature control
The DHW temperature is adjusted and controlled either
by a control unit or by a cylinder control panel in the
Logamatic 4000 control system. The cylinder control
panel is matched to the heating circuit control unit and
offers many application options.
For more detailed information, see the technical guides on
DHW heating and the Logamatic 4000 control system.
