Disks
Check Disk You may run a disk check on hard drives in or attached to the
LinkStation via USB. Depending on the size of the disk, a disk check may
take many hours to complete.
Notes: • You cannot run a disk check at the same time as a
backup job.
• During the disk check, the le sharing service stops.
If the unit is disconnected abnormally from Mac OS, the
database created by Mac OS may be destroyed and you can no
longer connect to the unit. If this happens, select [Delete any
hidden] and run a disk check. All of the les listed below will be
deleted, including sub directories.
• AppleDB
• AppleDesktop
• AppleDouble
• TheVolumeSettingsFolder
• Network Trash Folder
• Please make sure the LinkStation is not selected as a backup
destination of other LinkStation before you run the disk check.
If the LinkStation is selected as the backup destination, do not
run the disk check.
