Electronic hand brake operating sound
■ During the applying and releasing processes of the handbrake, the motor running
sound from the electronic handbrake system will be heard.
■ After the emergency braking, if there is no burnt smell or abnormal noise, it is
recommended to contact BYD Auto Authorized Service Station for inspection
immediately.
● In order to prevent slipping, when leaving the car, do not use the shifting mechanism
instead of the electronic handbrake to park the car; must place the electronic
parking brake in “P” position.
● When the car is running, the passengers in the car cannot apply the electronic
handbrake switch; if the electronic handbrake is applied fully, it may cause a serious
accident.
● When the electronic handbrake is in the applying or releasing process, please
depress the brake pedal as much as possible to prevent the car from slipping or
gear position from blocking when the electronic handbrake does not provide
sufficient parking force.
