4-5 Use of driver assistance functions
Parking assist system (if fitted)
■ While parking the vehicle, the parking assist system alerts the driver of the distance
between vehicle and obstacles by the image display on the multimedia display screen
(if fitted) and the warning tone of the loudspeaker. This system utilizes the sensors to
detect obstacles.
■ The parking assist system is a method to assist the reversing. During reversing,
please observe the areas behind and surrounding the vehicle.
■ When the vehicle enters reversing status, the system automatically enters the
reversing view interface.
■ For your driving safety, in the reversing view interface, all buttons are non-operational
except the volume and telephone related buttons.
■ The interface restores when the vehicle exits the reversing status.
● Do not use the parking assist system when the driving speed exceeds 10km/h.
● Do not attach any other items within the operating range of the sensor.
● Do not rinse the sensor with water or steam when washing the car; otherwise, the
sensor may be damaged.
Reversing sensor power switch
■ When the power switch is at “OK” or the gear R is engaged, the parking assist system
turns on automatically.
■ Under the system OFF status,
press the reversing sensor switch
on the multimedia display screen to
turn on the system. Under the
system ON status, press the
reversing sensor switch again to
turn off the system.
■ Under the system ON status, there
is a warning tone upon detection of
any obstacle around the vehicle.
Under the system OFF status, there
is no warning tone.

surrounding environment of vehicle
