1. If pulling up the front hatch opening
handle located on the left side of
the lower body of the dashboard,
the front hatch will pop up slightly.
2. From the right middle of the front of
the car, insert your finger under the
front flange of the front hatch and
push the front hatch lock button to
the right (Body coordinate
orientation) until it releases the
front hatch and then open the front
hatch.
3. Lift the front hatch up and support it
with the support bars.
4. When closing the front hatch, lower
it to about 30 cm above the front
grille and release your hands to
allow it to drop freely for locking.
5. After closing the front hatch, must check that the lock button is locked securely.
6. If the front hatch can be opened without move the front hatch lock button, or the front
hatch lock button cannot be moved freely or returned in place, must clean and
lubricate the front hatch lock mechanism; if it is still not operated normally, please
contact a BYD Auto Authorized Service Station for rescue.
● Before driving, ensure that the front hatch is closed and locked securely; otherwise,
the front hatch may be opened suddenly during driving, resulting in an accident.
