4. The airbag indicator on the dashboard is turned on abnormally.
■ The airbag system is monitored by an electronic control unit and has a self-diagnostic
function, and the system status is displayed with the airbag warning indicator on the
dashboard.
● After the power supply is in “OK” position, the airbag warning indicator will be
turned on and last about 5s, and then turned off and last for more than 5s, it
indicates that the system is operated normally.
● If the airbag is turned off, the warning indicator will be always on, but it will not
have any protection function.
The following cases indicate that the airbag system is faulty:
● When the power supply is in “OK” position, the warning indicator cannot be turned
on.
● After the power supply is in “OK” position, the warning indicator cannot be turned off
after 5 seconds or cannot be turned off but turned on again.
● When the power switch is in “OFF” position, the warning indicator will be turned on.
● The warning indicator will be turned on or flash during driving process. In case of a
malfunction, it is recommended to check and repair your car as soon as possible at
BYD Auto Authorized Service Station.
