Safety Precautions
Power Supply
Always grip the plug to remove the power cable from the powe
r outlet. Pulling on the power
cable co uld damage the cable and lead to a re or electrical shock.
Never use an e xtension cord. This could cause a re or electrical shock.
Never use any po wer source other than AC 100–120 / 220–240 V. This could cause a re or
electrical shock. The printer o perating conditions are described below. Use the printer under
the following conditions.
Power supply voltage: AC 100–120 / 220–240 V
Power supply freque ncy: 50/60Hz
Cleaning the Printer
Always disconnect the pow er cable from the outlet before cleaning the printer. If the printer is
switched on a ccidentally, mo ving parts inside the printer may c ause personal injuries.
Printhead , Ink Tanks and Maintenance C artridge
Always store consumables in a safe location out of the re ach of small children. If a child licks or
ingests ink accidentally, seek medical assistance immediately.
Avoid dropping or shaking Printheads , Ink Tanks , and Maintenance Cartridges . Spilled ink
can stain clothing and the work area.
Never touch the electrical contacts of the Printhead after printing. The contacts become
extremely hot and can ca use minor burns.
Other
Never disassemble the printer or attempt repairs. There are high voltage parts inside the
printer that can cause a re or electrical shock.
Never use ammable s prays around the printer. The gas of ammable sprays can cause a re
or electrical shock, if it contacts high voltage points inside the printer.
