Periodic Check Sheet
* Neglecting inspections and maintenance may cause accidents. To keep the machine
safely functioning, periodically perform inspection and maintenance according to the
following table.
* Maintenance schedule as per following table.
* Checking items in the following table may requiring special knowledge, tools, or
instruments. When you cannot independently perform checks yourself, contact the
dealer from whom you purchased the machine.

Body
Starting
The engine should start easily without irregular
noise.

Engine speed
The rotation speeds at the idling and maximum
rotation at no-load should meet the specified
values, respectively, and both rotation speeds
should be constant.

When accelerating the engine, the movement
of the accelerating lever should be smooth, the
engine should not stop, and knocking should not
occur.

Exhaust
When the engine is sufficiently warmed up, the
colors and discharging sound of exhaust gas
should be normal from idling through maximum
rotation speeds.

There should be no leakage in the exhaust pipe
and muffler.

Air cleaner
There should be neither cracks nor deformations
in the air cleaner casing and no looseness in the
connection pipe.

There should be neither excess dirt nor damage
in both urethane form and paper filter elements. ○
Cleaning / Replacement

Tightening
There should be no looseness in the bolts and
nuts of the tightening parts of the cylinder head
and manifold.

* This check can be omitted if neither gas nor
water leaks are found in those parts.
Valve
clearance
The clearance of the valve should be normal.

* This check can be omitted when there is no
irregular noise due to the abnormal clearance
of the valve and the engine runs smoothly.
Compressing
pressure
The pressure should be normal.

* This check can be omitted when there is no
irregularity in both the rotating states and
in exhaust gas conditions during idling and
accelerating.
Engine
mount
There should be neither cracks nor deformations
in the engine base.

There should be neither looseness in nor missing
mounting bolts and nuts.
