the pressure sensor used to monitor the driver's brake force are added.
When the vehicle is driving, high-speed turning or emergency lane change is easy
to make the vehicle unstable. The ESC system can monitor the driver's driving
intention based on the vehicle status and driving conditions. Once the actual
movement of the vehicle is detected to be inconsistent with the driver's input
(monitored by the ABS wheel speed sensor, steering angle sensor and yaw sensor),
before the driver loses control of the vehicle, the ESC system automatically interferes
with the engine output torque and service braking of the vehicle to ensure the
stability of the vehicle.
When the vehicle undergoes understeer or oversteer, for the tractor, it is easy to
cause the trailer to fold, which seriously threatens the life safety of the driver and
passenger of the main vehicle.
For passenger cars, too high center of gravity can easily cause vehicle rollover when
understeer or oversteer. If there is no ESC system, this situation will lead to serious
traffic casualties.
For this reason, governments all over the world have gradually forced commercial
vehicles to install ESC systems.
The ESC system also includes the ASR (Traction Control) function, which is "Traction
Control System". When a vehicle with ASR function is driving on a slippery road, ASR
controls the brake of the skidding wheels or the torque of the engine at the same
time. The brake control function of ASR function is similar to the differential lock,
which helps the vehicle to achieve a smooth start.
Main Applications of ESC System
While the ESC system is applicable to all applications of the ABS system, it can keep
the vehicle from deviating from the original motion track and ensure the stable
operation of the vehicle in case of understeer, oversteer and rollover.
· When the vehicle equipped with ESC system is in emergency braking on a
slippery or snowy road, the vehicle will stop smoothly along a straight line and
hear the rapid exhaust sound.
· When driving at a low speed on a good road surface, the brake effect difference
is not obvious if the ESC system is used, but when the vehicle is driving at a high
speed or there is an emergency ahead, the ESC system can play a good role.
· If ESC is not installed, the stability of braking cannot be maintained during
emergency braking, and serious deviation or tailspin will occur, even rollover will
occur; with ESC emergency braking, the vehicle will stop smoothly in a straight
line.
