Use and Maintenance of Braking System
Braking System Composition
The braking system of LOGISTAR 400 is mainly composed of air compressor, air
filter assembly, dryer, condenser, air reservoir, brake air pipe, relay valve and other
components.
Air Compressor
LOGISTAR 400 has a separate air compressor assembly to provide compressed air
for the whole vehicle.
Air Filter
The air compressor is equipped with an air filter to filter the air entering the air
compressor. The air filter is installed on the fixed bracket of the starting battery in
the front compartment.
Precautions for Use of Air Compressor
Keep the air compressor clean.
Clean the dust on the air filter element every week and replace it with a new air
filter element (the filter element is a vulnerable part) every 3 months. Increase or
decrease the maintenance time according to the different environment.
Check the fastening of main parts every 60 days, confirm the tightening of
important bolts and nuts, and retighten as required.
After 5000 hours (or two years) of use, remove the one-way valve plate for cleaning
(after the one-way valve plate is removed for cleaning, the sealing ring of the valve
plate needs to be replaced).
Vulnerable parts: piston ring and cylinder sealing ring shall be replaced every 18
months.
