Maintenance
Check the oil level of the oil tank regularly and replace the filter element regularly
(filter precision is 25 μm).
When the steering pump makes abnormal noise, check whether the oil level in the
oil tank is too low, whether the filter screen is blocked and whether the oil pipe joint
is loose.
The oil flow rate in the inlet pipe is generally 1.5~6.5 ft/s (0.5~2 m/s), and the flow
rate in the outlet pipe is 8~20 ft/s (2.5~6 m/s).
Precautions for Steering Control
When the steering wheel has turned to the limit position (front wheel angle limit
bolt or steering limit valve works), it is forbidden to continue to apply force to the
steering wheel to reduce the additional load on the steering system components.
It is forbidden to turn the steering wheel while standing on the brake pedal to
reduce the additional load on the steering system components.
Replacement Instructions for Steering Column Bolts and Nuts
The locking methods of steering column bolts and nuts are divided into:
· Locking of ordinary nuts with spring washers.
· Locking of self-locking nut.
When removing and repairing the lock nut of steering column, pay attention to the
following items:
· The bolts fitted to the steering column can continue to function without damage.
· The locking mode is the ordinary nut plus spring washer. After disassembly and
maintenance, the ordinary nut can continue to be used. The spring washer can
continue to be used if it is not deformed and invalid. If it is deformed and invalid,
replace with the spring washer of the same model.
· The locking mode is self-locking nut. During disassembly and maintenance, the
removed self-locking nut cannot be used again. Replace with the self-locking nut
of the same model, and apply the thread tightening glue again.
