· When making the above adjustments, the parking brake of the vehicle must

Use and Maintenance of Steering System
Steering System Composition
The steering system of LOGISTAR 400 is composed of power steering pump, steering
gear, rotary oil tank and connecting pipeline.
Electro-hydraulic Power Steering Pump
LOGISTAR 400 has a separate steering pump assembly, which is used to provide
steering assistance and make steering easier.
Precautions for Use of Rotating Pump
When installing the electro-hydraulic power steering pump assembly, pay attention
to the fact that the steering pump assembly, the motor and the vehicle mounting
bracket cannot be connected, otherwise the assembly cannot achieve the double
insulation effect and is easy to pose a threat to personal safety.
The hydraulic oil needs to be changed every 1550 miles (2500 km) of the new
vehicle (the user can select 8 # hydraulic transmission oil (in summer/winter)
according to the local atmospheric temperature), and the oil tank and pipeline
system should be cleaned. The oil tank, oil filter and pipeline should be carefully
cleaned when the dirty sundries are discharged and the oil should be changed,
and the fixing screws should be checked.
The hydraulic oil shall be replaced every 12400 miles (20000 km). Clean the pipeline
and keep the system clean.
The oil tank must be sealed well, and dirt shall not seep into it. Regularly check the
oil tank and replace the oil core.
Be careful not to leave the steering wheel at the limit position for more than
10 seconds, otherwise the temperature of the steering pump will rise sharply, which
is easy to cause damage to the pump.
