Vehicle Running-in
The correct running-in of a new vehicle has a great relationship with extending the
service life of the vehicle and improving the reliability of the vehicle.
The running-in period of a new vehicle is defined as 3100 miles (5000 km) or 3
months. Only after the running-in mileage can it be put into normal use, and the
vehicle power can reach the maximum value. Otherwise, the initial excessive wear
of the motor and other parts will be caused by insufficient power and premature
heavy load use.
Inspection Before Running-in
Clean the vehicle and check the connection and fastening of all parts.
Check the oil level of the rear axle and steering gear, add it if it is insufficient, and
check whether there is oil leakage at all parts.
Check the steering mechanism for looseness and jamming.
Check whether the brake system works normally and whether there is air leakage
and oil leakage at each pipe joint.
Check whether electrical equipment, lights and instruments work normally.
Check whether the tire pressure meets the standard.
Operation During Running-in
Drive on a flat and good road.
Do not press the accelerator pedal when starting to prevent the speed of the
starting motor from rising.
Drive correctly, shift gears in time, and avoid sudden acceleration and sharp
braking.
Load limit: the vehicle shall be driven with on load within 125 miles (200 km)
at first, and the load after 125 miles (200 km) shall not exceed 70% of the total
weight allowed. After 930 miles (1500 km), the total weight can be increased to
90% of the total weight allowed for the chassis.
Always pay attention to the temperature of the rear axle, hub and brake drum. If
there is serious heat, find out the cause and adjust or repair it.
