BEFORE LANDING
1. Ice Protection AS REQUIRED
CAUTION
SIGNIFICANT POWER LOSS WILL OCCUR WHILE
OPERATING IN THE ALTERNATE AIR MODE.
EXTREME CAUTION SHOULD BE USED TO
MAINTAIN A MINIMUM OF 14 PSI TORQUE IN
FLIGHT ON APPROACH TO LANDING.
2. Passenger Seats AS FAR FORWARD AS PRACTICAL.
3. Pilot and Passenger Seat Backs MOST UPRIGHT POSITION
4. Seats and Seat Belts SECURED and LOCKED
5. Propeller Control IN
6. Fuel Selector BOTH
7. Autopilot (if installed) OFF
8. Landing and Taxi Lights ON
9. Wing Flaps Down 0 to 10 (below 140 KIAS), 10 to 40
(below 96 KIAS).
LANDING
NORMAL LANDING
1. Airspeed 75 85 KIAS (Flaps Up), Wing Flaps - 65 75 KIAS
(Flaps Down)
2. Power Control FLIGHT IDLE (14 PSI torque minimum)
3. Elevator Trim ADJUST for landing.
4. Touchdown MAIN WHEELS FIRST
5. Power Control GROUND IDLE
6. Landing Roll LOWER NOSE WHEEL
7. Braking MINIMUM REQUIRED
SHORT FIELD LANDING
1. Airspeed 75 85 KIAS (flaps UP)
2. Wing Flaps -- 40 (below 96 KIAS)
3. Airspeed MAINTAIN 63 KIAS
4. Power Control REDUCE TO FLIGHT IDLE (14 PSI torque
minimum) as obstacle is cleared.
5. Elevator Trim ADJUST
6. Touchdown MAIN WHEELS FIRST
7. Power Control GROUND IDLE
8. Brakes APPLY HEAVILY
9. Wing Flaps RETRACT for maximum brake effectiveness.
