Feeder and Fill System Maintenance Schedule
*Match up the numbers in the chart with the maintenance info below.
1. Check feeders to insure all lines have run. Check for wet spots and foreign objects in the trough.
2. Remove dust and build up from around the motor areas to allow proper cooling of motors.
Remove cover to inspect and clean.
3. Check the oil level in all gearheads. The oil should be up to the side plug. If the oil level is low,
add 40 weight S.A.E. oil.
4. Remove feed from trough by opening clean-out(s) in feeder loop. Use caution while clean-outs
are open.
Caution: Do not place fingers or foreign objects into
clean-outs.
Do not operate feeders with clean-out cover
removed
.
5. Check screener output. Empty container if necessary.
6. Grease the bearings on the bin boots and feed screener.
Use a high grade grease.
7. Close the bin side and allow fill system to empty.
Note: Do not allow the feeders to sit idle for extended periods of time (3-4 days) without
periodically running the auger.
