What to do if Active LED does not turn on in Cisco XR 12000?

If the Active LED on your Cisco Network Router doesn't light up, there are several things you can check. First, make sure the line card board connector is fully seated in the backplane by loosening the captive installation screws and pivoting the ejector levers until they are perpendicular to the line card faceplate, then tighten the screws. Also, verify that all power cords and data cables are firmly connected at both ends and that all memory modules on the card are fully seated and secured in their sockets. If the initialization sequence does not end with IOS RUN, verify that the interface is not shut down; if it is not, it may be a circuitry problem, and you should contact a service representative.
