ADJUSTING THE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
Engines: 9HX - 9HY - 9HZ
NOTE: When removing a camshaft sensor, respect the airgap between the sensor and the target.
Slacken the screw (14).
Pusk back the camshaft position sensor (15) to the end of slots.
Do up the screw (14) a few turns.
Adjust the airgap (1,2 mm) of the camshaft position sensor (15).
New sensor.
New camshaft position sensor:
- Place the tip of the position sensor in contact with the target on the camshaft pulley (5).
Re-used sensor.
Camshaft position sensor re-used:
- Place a drill bit at «f» (Ø 9,5 mm) between the camshaft position sensor (15) and the timing
cover (6).
Tighten the screw (14) to 0,4 ± 0,1 m.daN.
