Powering on a Fiber UAP2
The UAP2 is powered on as soon as power is connected to it. Under normal operang condions, the Power
LED turns on briey when the unit is rst detected. It will then go out briey, followed by an inializaon
period during which the Power LED ashes slowly while the UAP2 is congured. The Power LED remains a
steady green (not ashing) once the unit reaches a fully operaonal state, which typically occurs within 45
seconds.
The Power LED behavior for a Fiber UAP2 is as follows:
Inial ash on and then o—UAP2 has power applied but no ber link is established to a CAN/TEN or to
a primary ber UAP2.
Steady green—UAP2 is powered on and operaonal.
Slow ashing green—UAP2 is powered on and inializing.
Rapid ashing green—UAP2 Unit Idener acve via the Flash LED funcon in the ERA GUI.
Slow-Flashing Red—The ERA GUI is reporng a crical alarm for the unit. The AP can be recovered
without replacing hardware.
Steady Red—The ERA GUI is reporng a crical alarm for the unit. The AP or SFP+ must be replaced.
