The UAP2 Hybrid Fiber Splice Box Kit (CommScope PN 7693816-xx) provides a connecon soluon for both
power and opcal signals to a UAP2. You have the opon to use composite cable to transport signals from a
TEN or Classic CAN via ber and power from a remote DC supply, and then use the UAP2 Hybrid Fiber Splice
Box Kit to terminate the power and ber at the UAP2.
Note: It is the responsibility of the customer/installer to observe the local regulaons of the
DC service provider and to comply with Limited Power Source (LPS) requirements where applicable.
Note: When planning your installaon, please note that the Hybrid Fiber Splice Kit increases
the total depth of the installaon to ~171 mm (6.73”) as shown in Figure 3: UAP2 Dimensions with
Hybrid Splice Box (page 21).
1. Follow the steps in Unpack and Inspect the UAP2 and Accessories.
2. Refer to UAP2 Dimensions to determine the mounng locaon, which must be able to support the
weight and dimensions of the UAP2.
