ComNav Marine 1420 Autopilot System
HEAD INDICATION PROBLEM & HOW TO FIX
The lights are all blinking and
the Autopilot is no longer moving
the rudder or the outboard.
The Processor has overheated.
CHECK:
• Is there a short circuit in the connection to the
Reversing Pump?
• Is the rudder or outboard motor free from any
debris which would interfere with its motion?
The light above the Pilot Key is
blinking.
The Rudder Feedback has failed and the Ghost Rudder
program is running. Your Autopilot will work but the quality
of steering control will not be as good.
CHECK:
• The Rudder Feedback wiring at the Processor.
If you cannot find the problem, have the Rudder Feedback
fixed as soon as you can.
The light above the Nav Key is
blinking.
The navigation device (GPS, plotter, etc.) has detected a
problem with the signals it is receiving. It has sent a warning
to the Autopilot. The Autopilot is flashing the light above the
Nav Key to warn you that your navigation information might
not be correct. Make sure that you are navigating safely.
CHECK:
• Your navigation device for warning indicators.
Follow the instructions in the owner's manual of
your navigation device.
