Thermal By-pass valve
If necessary check the thermostat (14) for correct operation.
Thermostat starts operation at 82
°
C and normal extension at 96
°
C
is 9.5 mm (14.3 mm max.).
•
Clean and degrease all parts. Ensure piston (13) is free from
score marks and sharp edges.
•
If new thermostat is to be fitted, DO NOT REMOVE STEM.
•
Renew bonded seal (16).
