Replacing Scanner Parts
Scanner Models: HD5450, HD4250, HD4230, HD3650,
HD3630
This section describes how to replace those scanner parts that are liable to
wear down over long-term use. Changing parts will renew your scanner and
reestablish optimal results. WIDEsystem monitors scanner usage and will
warn you when it is time for a replacement.
NOTE: Regarding the 25” MODEL HS2520: There are no
replaceable parts on the 25” scanner model HD2520. Contact your service
technician for replacing parts.
NOTE: Regarding WIDEsystem WARNING FLAG - glass plate and
White background platen replacement: After receiving a warning by
WIDEsystem and replacing the part, be sure to reset the part replacement
warning flag though WIDEsystem’s “Status” tab.
NOTE: Regarding RECALIBRATION - glass plate, White
background platen, lamp unit replacement: Replacing these parts will
change conditions in the scan area. Therefore, it is recommended to
recalibrate right after changing and cleaning these parts.
Important Safety Instruction: Before replacing any parts, be sure to
turn the scanner power off and disconnect the power plug.
