13.7.5 Troubleshoot the Lustre Users Screen
This topic provides causes and possible resolutions for errors that may have occurred during Lustre user
authentication for ClusterStor L300 and L300N systems.
An Error Box Appears Immediately After Entering the LDAP Parameters
IMPORTANT: Carefully inspect any errors generated by CSM. In many cases the errors reveal the exact
problem through backend script output, middleware issues, etc.
Some of the parameters are likely wrong. Before applying LDAP parameters to the ClusterStor L300 and L300N
system, the ldapsearch command is called with the specified parameters. If ldapsearch is not able to use the
parameters, LDAP will not work and the error is generated.
1. Close the error box and re-enter the LDAP parameters, making certain they are correct.
2. If any errors occur after clicking Next for which there is no resolution, perform the following steps.
3. SSH into the primary MGMT node:
[Client]$ ssh –l admin primary_MGMT_node
4. Switch the cluster to pre-shipment mode:
[MGMT0]$ cscli cluster_mode --mode pre-shipment
5. Refresh the browser window.
6. Repeat the procedure to create the administrator password.
