2. Introduction
2.1. Overview
Control units Assistant and Assistant-S are standalone integrated media control systems with
expansion capability used as a central unit in control systems for audio-visual equipment in meeting
rooms, boardrooms, training centers, private houses, etc.
A touch screen, a keyboard or wireless controllers are connected to the control unit as remote control
panels. The control unit has serial, analog and digital outputs, infra-red outputs and switching outputs.
In addition, it has serial, analog and digital inputs.
Main functions
• Control unit receives data from remote control panels and runs the appropriate sequences stored
in the control unit memory.
• Control unit reads inputs.
• Control unit transmits control commands to all outputs and through a serial port CUEring to
interfaces.
