This page allows you to determine which port on a given switch will be allowed to forward
packets to other ports on that switch.
The user may set the following parameters:
Parameter Description
Port Check the corresponding boxes for the port(s) you wish to transmit
packets.
Forward Portlist Check the boxes to select which of the ports on the selected switch
will be able to forward packets. These are the ports that will be
allowed to receive packets from the port specified above.
Clicking the Apply button will enter the combination of transmitting port and allowed
receiving ports into the Switch’s
Traffic Segmentation Table

MAC Notification
MAC Notification is used to monitor MAC addresses learned and entered into the forwarding
database.
Global Settings
To globally set MAC notification on the Switch, open the following screen by opening the
MAC Notification folder and clicking the Global Settings link:

The following parameters may be modified:

State
Enable or disable MAC notification globally on the Switch
Interval (sec)
The time in seconds between notifications.
History size The maximum number of entries listed in the history log used for
notification. Up to 500 entries can be specified.
Port Settings
To change MAC Notification settings for a port or group of ports on the Switch, click Port
Settings in the MAC Notification folder, which will display the following screen:
