(1) Accelerator Lever
STARTING AND STOPPING THE ENGINE
START THE ENGINE
1. Shift the aux. shift lever to N
(neutral), the main shift lever to
STOP.
2. Disenga ge the reaping and
threshing clutches.
3. Put the accelerator lever on the
medium level.
Start the engine only at the
driver’s seat.
After warning bystanders,
start the engine.
Disengage all clutches be-
fore starting the engine.
Unless the main shift lever
is engaged in STOP, the en-
gine will not start because
of the safety switch.
If the engine does not start
within 10 seconds, turn the
switch OFF and wait 30 sec-
onds. Cranking more than
10 seconds could damage
the starter.
Onc e t he e ng ine s t a rt s,
warm it up for 5-10 minutes.
(When it is below 0ºC, en-
gine oil circulation is poor.
You must warm up the en-
gine.)
