'AKM' Call Type
Background
The Danfoss AKM has been updated to allow it to receive alarms from m2 units.
However the m2 alarm dialout procedure diers from the Danfoss Gateway in
that it is not as tolerant of faulty telecommunication equipment. The m2 would
make repeated calls to try to transmit the alarm message up to a maximum
of 8. This conformed to the current telecommunication regulations when the
procedure as dened.
AKM will continue to try to transmit the alarm indenitely. It can also control
the power to the modem using one of it relays. It does this after ten failed
attempts to dial-out and every 6 hours.
The 'AKM' call type has been created to mimmic the same dialout as the AKM.
The m2 has two relays that are normally used for alarm indication. The Relay
2 (REP ALARM) can be used to control the modem power. The Relay is rated
at 24V 1A max, so the low voltage power after the mains transformer must be
switched. Mains voltage MUST NOT be connected to this relay.
