Recommendation
• Danfoss recommends using closed loop control mode, i.e. P3073: Cut-off valve control mode is set to 255 (Closed loop
control).
• Danfoss recommends to use default values for P3074: Cut-off valve CL pull current and P3076: Cut-off valve CL hold
current. Contact your local technical support at Danfoss Power Solutions if there is a need to change these parameters.
• Danfoss recommends setting P3097: Cut-off valve PWM pre-load value to 100 (100%), assuming solenoid has the
same voltage rating as the battery voltage. If the solenoid does not have the same voltage rating as the battery voltage,
the supply voltage to the solenoid controlled by P3097: Cut-off PWM pre-load value, which can be calculated as
follows:

Let battery voltage be 24 V and the solenoid voltage rating be 12 V, then P3097: Cut-off valve PWM pre-load value is
found to be:

For this example, P3097: Cut-off valve PWM pre-load value must be set to 50 (50%), to avoid the PVED-CLS from
triggering safe state due to overcurrent in the solenoid.
