Press the up “” or down“” arrow keys to select one of the lower menu items.
Another help text at the bottom right of the display explains the function of the selected
menu.
If a menu includes a sub-menu, this is indicated by a right arrow to the right of the menu text.
Press the right “” arrow key to access this sub-menu. When the desired menu has
been found, select it by pressing the “ “ ENTER key (the selected menu is
highlighted).
If the selected menu has adjustable parameters, a pop-up window is displayed with the
parameter (as the set current menu). If the menu only contains data, a pop-up window is
displayed with the data (like with interlock menus).
If the menu is a command (like REMote or LOCal), then the task is executed immediately and
the cursor stays at its position.
Press the “ “ ENTER key again to close any pop-up windows.
To summarise,
Press the MENU key to access the menu bar
Press the MENU key again to exit the menu bar (return to default window)
Press the “ “ ENTER key to access a pop-up window
Press the “ “ ENTER key again to close the pop-up window
Note the following exceptions:
If there is no need for parameters in a menu, then the change is accepted when the
“↵” key is pressed.
Pressing the MENU button while editing a parameter will abort the operation (cancel the
operation like pressing “ESC”)
Remotely changing the command status to “Remote” will automatically abort any local
operation.
Hint: To ease the use, the “↵” Enter key may be used instead of one of the arrow keys in
some situations. If the cursor is in the top menu the “↵” will do the same as the “▾” key
or when standing in a menu containing a sub menu the “↵” will do the same as the “▸”
key.
Hint: Pressing the MENU key the first displayed menu will either be the SET or the INTL
menu. The INTL menu if at least one interlock is present. This minimizes the number of
buttons to be pressed to “MENU” and “↵” twice, for setting the output current or the
same key sequence to see the active internal interlocks.
Use the arrow keys to change a parameter. Note the help text at the bottom right of
the display. The digit to be changed is highlighted. Press ENTER to exit.
Hint: Keeping either up “” or down“” arrow keys pressed when editing a number will
start the auto increment function.
If no menus have been used after 5 minutes, the display will automatically switch back to the
opening window and abort any current operation (for security reasons).
