6. Maintenance
6.1. Introduction
Servicing DANFYSIK Magnet Power Supply should be attempted only by personal trained by
DANFYSIK.
Dangerous voltages capable of causing loss of life are present inside this power supply. Use
extreme caution when accessing, handling, testing and adjusting.
6.2. Preventive maintenance
In normal operating environment, perform the following tasks at one-year intervals:
Clean all fan protection grilles from outside of the cabinet
Check that all cables and bus bars carrying heavy current are tightened connecting to
the power supply.
In dusty or dirty environments, the above-mentioned points should be performed more
frequently.
Preventive maintenance should be performed with one year intervals and carried out by
DANFYSIK trained personal. In normal environments and operation, the maintenance involves
cleaning and general inspection of the Power Supply.
The service interval for a Power Supply operating in dusty and dirty environments should be
expected to decrease, as dust build-up in the Power Supply is accelerated in these conditions.
Extended maintenance is recommended for Power Supplies operating in high radiation
environments. Radiation damage causes accelerated wear on ICs within the Power Supply,
which then requires replacement.
6.3. Adjustment and calibration
This power supply does not need any regular adjustment or calibration.
