1. Introduction and specifications
1.1. General introduction
The System 9700 is a DC constant current output power supply designed for applications
requiring very high stability and low noise combined with reliability and ease of operation.
The System 9700 is conceived as a general-purpose scalable power supply for multiple magnet
configurations.
This MPS belongs to a new generation of high performance power converters suitable for many
high current and voltage applications where size and cost are of importance.
 Power range of 3 kW, 75 kW, allowing the user to select the most suitable solution.
 10ppm stability class using LEM Ultrastab high precision DCCT current transducer to
control the current stability in the power supply.
 Wide current range from 50 A to 1600 A.
 Remote controlled through a serial interface “RS232/RS422/RS485”.
