Replacing the Rear Indent Ribbon
The Rear Indent Module is located behind the Embossing Wheel.
This procedure is necessary only if the Rear Indent Module has been purchased.
To replace the Rear Indent Ribbon, perform the following steps:
1. Unlock and lift the Top Cover.
2. Remove the Take-up Retainer and full Take-up Spool.
3. Remove the Supply Retainer and Supply Spool. Unwind any remaining
Ribbon from the Supply Spool Core and move it to the Take-up Spool to be
the Take-up Core.
4. Install a full Indent Ribbon Supply Spool. Unwind a few inches of Ribbon
from the Supply Spool and reinstall the Supply Retainer. Be sure to maintain
tension on the Ribbon during the threading process.
5. Carefully thread the Indent Ribbon with the shiny side contacting the Ribbon
Guide rollers and the Ribbon Foil Motion as shown below.
When threading the Indent Ribbon, make sure the ribbon is between the
Card Guide and the Lower Emboss Wheel as shown.
6. Tape the edge of the Ribbon, dull side out, to the Take-up Core.
7. Slide the Take-up Retainer onto the Take-up Core until it clicks in place.
8. Close the Top Cover.
