2 To install a new system battery:
a Push the battery lock slightly away.
NOTE
: Ensure that you do not push the battery holder more that 3.2 millimeters or you might risk damaging the part.
b Hold the battery with the + sign facing the positive side of the battery connector on the system board.
c Insert the battery into the battery socket.

1 Follow the procedure listed in the After working inside your system.
2 Conrm that the battery is operating properly, by performing the following steps:
a Enter the System Setup, while booting, by pressing F2.
b Enter the correct time and date in the System Setup Time and Date elds.
