Prerequisites
1 Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2 Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
CAUTION
: To prevent data loss, ensure that your system is turned o and that the indicator LEDs on the battery are
O before removing the NVDIMM-N battery.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to the battery connector, you must rmly support the connector while installing or
removing a battery.
3 Remove the NVDIMM-N battery cage.
Steps
1 Disconnect the cables from the NVDIMM-N battery.
2 Using the Phillips #2 screwdriver, loosen the screw securing the NVDIMM-N battery.
3 Holding the edges, lift the battery from the NVDIMM-N battery cage.
